AFM Solutions have been advising on technology investment for more than 30 years.
We are a group of finance and technology professionals with hundreds of man-years experience in IT, banking and the asset finance industry and, having advised on and structured over £1 Billion of capital assets in information, communications and energy technology, offer a wide range of experience.
Our clients range from the corporate sector, where we work with all sizes of company, from small to large, through to those in the education, Local Authority, healthcare and charity sectors, where we have specialist knowledge in funding for Academy Schools and for NHS and Foundation Trusts.
We work with and advise a number of consultancies, manufacturers, resellers and integrators in the area of low cost, flexible solutions to assist corporate and public sector clients in solving the cash and budget obstacles to investing in new technology from as little as £500 to as much as £50 million.
Our People
Neale Smithies, Head of Treasury & Asset Management, has more than 20 years experience in the leasing industry in sales and in finance and understands the practical aspects of leasing and equipment management.
Graham Seeley, Southern Regional Director, has over 25 years experience in the technology sector. Initially a client manager at IBM, Graham was later Director, UK Major Accounts with a Societe Generale subsidiary before joining us, working alongside corporate and public sector clients at senior management and board level.
Darron Smithies, Divisional Director, manages some of AFM's major clients including UK divisions of global companies, civil engineering giants as well as public sector and NHS customers. Darron comes from a successful marketing background in financial services, project managing initiatives for some of the UK’s larger finance and FMCG businesses.
Karen Macaulay is our administration and contracts manager. Prior to AFM, Karen managed a number of challenging roles in both the private and not-for-profit sectors.
Tony Holgate, ICT and Midlands and North Regional Director, spent his formative years in sales at IBM, and later Sun Microsystems. In the 90′s he ran his own successful technology consultancy business.
Michael Baker, Consultant, spent the first half of his professional life in senior manager roles with major banks in UK and abroad. Prior to AFM, Michael was Business Development Director for ECS UK Plc in N. Europe. Michael also works with the Talent Management division and is certified by the British Psychological Society as a combined Test User: Ability & Personality (Level A & B)
